Dylan wanted a camo cake again this year, but this time he wanted it rectangle and he wanted a tank.
This is the one I made for his actual birthday.
The tank is a Frozen buttercream Transfer. My friend Amber gives great directions HERE.
I tried again with his second cake. I did smaller batter blobs for the camo and I was happier with how it turned out, then I also did the writing in the FBCT because my six looked a little “special” in the first one.
I didnt wait long for the frosting to freeze so the N on Dylan got a little flubbed. Note to self next time. “Give yourself more time!”
I definitely need more practice, and I have a LONG way to go until I deem myself "good" but Im having fun learning. I hope to take some classes soon to see what Im doing wrong with the frosting consistency....

You should talk to my mom, she used to do cakes professionally...she'd love to answer any questions...but classes would be fun! Good job on the cake!
I'm very impressed!
Seriously awesome
I am so impressed. Awesome.
Cool! Those cakes are great. I may have to call you later this year about that camo batter one. Jonathan thinks he would like it for his birthday...
I think it looks super fantastic, and i know your kids will remember their cakes and appreciate your effort. I had a fancy raindbow arc freestanding cake when we went to aunt lori's for my like, 6th birthday or something and I have remembered it fondly ever since.
