One of the stipulations I had about going to Utah this summer was that we went to Lagoon. Im so glad I insisted because it was a BLAST. Grandma and Aunt Erin came with us, and Grandma was a sweetie and hung out with Tyler and Kate most of the day. (Kate was afraid of the big rides and was quite happy in kiddie land) Dylan was a serious Rock Star. That kid went on every single ride he could. Which meant pretty much everything in the park but two that I know of. He was tall enough to even go on WICKED. Not only did he go on wicked, but he went on it three times. He also joined me on Spider, Wild Mouse, and went with Daddy and Andrew on Colossus. Tyler did non stop kiddie rides. As soon as he was off he was running back in line to do another. There wasnt heavy traffic in the kiddie land so he never had to wait more than a few minutes for his next ride. Andrew hung with Daddy and Erin the whole day and went on everything they went on (I cant belive how “grown up” he has seemed lately).
Grandma even worked up the nerve to go on the dragon roller coaster with Kate and Ty.
This is Dylan right before his first big Roller Coaster ride. This is on The Bat. He kept telling me he was terrified, but when I asked him if he still wanted to ride I got an enthusiastic “YES!”
We finally convinced Kate to go on BomBora and she went on Wicked once. (Grandma had to calm her down afterwards, she was on the verge of hyperventilating.)
You cant have a trip to Lagoon without hitting Lagoon-a Beach. It was a bit on the cold side for the water park (we only lasted an hour and a half) but the kids had a good time. I however, spent the entire time stressing about my kids who aren't super good swimmers. Its nerve wracking keeping track of three kids under ten solo! I think it would have been easier with toddlers, they at least don't want to go on the huge water slides solo.
The whole family in line for Bom Bora
Tyler LOVED the bumper cars. They were little kid ones, so Tyler got to drive. I think the final count was NINE times on the bumper cars.
It was a FUN, FUN day. Tyler woke up asking if we were going to “A Goon again tomorrio?” every day for a fortnight and he still talks about it constantly. The bigger kids constantly have “Remember X from Lagoon? That was awesome” conversations. I remember going to Disneyland when I was Kate’s age and talking about it for months. So Im glad that we were able to swing a big amusement park this year for the kids (and for me too lol)

I love it! Emma still asks if we can go to Disneyland tomorrow. :) She still hasn't grasped that it's a couple states and 11 hours away.
Yay! Looks like a blast. I've gotta get addie to an amusement park.
