Utah Trip Day 6&7

Day six was a lot of mellow after our big day at Lagoon. We met up with one of Kyle’s old friends, Luke, and his little family for lunch. Mostly it was just a lot of hanging out.

Kyle’s other sister, Annie, drove down from Vernal with her three kids on Wednesday, so the kids got some more cousins to hang out with. Wednesday night was family pictures. Kara was working up on the mountain and Uncle Scott was still in vernal, but we figured it was either now or never. Our last extended Bake Family picture was when Deebs was 5 months old. So we were really due for one. I will post it once I get my copy.

Thursday Kyle and Andrew joined Grandpa and cousin Spencer on a four wheeling trip. So I got to fly solo for three days on vacation. (Um.. Wee?) The first of those days we went to the Spanish Fork pool. Annie and her kids, Sonia and her kids, Erin, and Grandma joined us. True to its fickle form that week, the weather didnt cooperate. We had some lightning and had to get out of the pool, and when the sun was behind the clouds it got a bit chilly. This is also the day from a few blogs back that Dylan decided to jump in the deep end of the pool.

Thursday night the moms all went to Tucanos to celebrate Annie’s Birthday. I had never been there before and was a little worried because Im not a big beef fan, but it ended up delicious. DELICIOUS! Next time we are in Utah I am SO taking Kyle there.

We also had a rip snarl of a lightning storm that night. My kids don't ever see lightning storms. When we get them its one strike every ten minutes, and its off in the hills. So the non stop KABOOOMS echoing up and down the Valley were a little nervous making for the kids. We sat on Grandma’s covered porch and watched. Dyl and Ty went a little white and had eyes the size of saucers. I LOVED it. It was probably the most impressive storm Ive ever seen. (we only get wussie weather in Portland, so it was nice for something new)

You had never been to Tucanos? I can safely say it is my favorite restauraunt on the planet, even if it is expensive. SO FREAKIN GOOD!
Love the pic of Dylan looking through the stairs. Such mischievous eyes.
