Can we say "Adrenalin Rush"?

Dylan decided to jump in the deeper end of the pool yesterday. I was about forty feet away when I saw him jump. Dylan doesnt swim. The man right next to Dylan just watched me run across the the cement yelling "somebody help him!" The man then informed me that "He was fine, he could touch" IMHO "Touching" doesnt count if your mouth, nose, and eyes are underwater while "touching". Also I dont think a kid that was "touching" would thank me for saving him. I know its my job to keep an eye on him (which I'm so glad I was since the lifeguard ten feet away and the man two feet away didnt seem to care), but one would think that if a kid next to you was drowning, that you would help them out even if they weren't your child.
Interestingly enough, Dyl is my only kid that has been close to drowning, and this would be the fourth time Ive had to yank him out of the water (I still have heart palpitations thinking about him getting hit by a sneaker wave at the oregon coast.) I think its time to invest in swimming lessons or actually go to a pool once in a while so he has the opportunity to learn.

A child after my own heart. Good thing I gave you all that practice at drowning-child-saving.
