Day 3 was a Sunday so we did the normal Sunday thing and then just had a nice relaxing day. Grandpa started playing his guitar and the kids had to get in on it too. So it ended up being quite the musical afternoon. ♫
The last six years we have lived in the NW we haven't had a single rained out 4th of July. Our first 4th back in Utah and we got DUMPED on. The 4th also happens to be Kyle’s Birthday. So the day started with Kyle and I making a little trip up to REI to get his present. He got a new day pack for his scouting and hiking adventures. Lunch was a big family barbeque with Kyle’s Sister, Sonia, and her family.
The weather was actually cooperating for the BBQ, but once we pulled out the fireworks it quickly went downhill. But true to Oregonian form we did fireworks in the rain anyway. We lucked out because Utah lifted the ban on aerial fireworks and the Bake’s neighbors paid for some good ones, so we got to enjoy the big boomers with-out selling one of our children to pay for it.

I saw that first pic and thought "oh, she's doing a flash back picture to when Andrew was little.... wait a minute" Holy cow! Tyler looks like he's grown two years since I last really looked at a picture of him.
